Deadline Freight for an Industry Built on Deadlines

Print exists to be somewhere on time. The conference programmes are worthless the day after the conference; the exhibition graphics are worthless once the stand build closes; the embargoed publication must not surface a minute early. Maine Couriers moves print and publishing work on dedicated vehicles, collected within 60 minutes and driven directly to the deadline — with no co-loading, so a heavy pallet of someone else's freight is never sitting on your boxed brochures.

We work for printers, print managers, publishers, design studios and event teams, and we quote against the time the job must land, not just the distance it travels.

What We Move for Print & Publishing

  • Finished print runs — Brochures, programmes, catalogues and direct mail delivered from the press to venues, clients and mailing houses, boxed or palletised.
  • Proofs and press passes — Wet proofs and colour-critical samples moved between studio, client and press the same day, including waiting-and-return runs so sign-off does not stall the press.
  • Exhibition and large-format graphics — Banner stands, foamex panels, fabric graphics and rolled media delivered to exhibition halls and stand builders, carried flat or rolled as the material demands.
  • Embargoed publications — Report launches, results documents and embargoed titles held sealed under a single driver's custody and released only at the agreed time, to the agreed person.
  • POS and campaign collateral — Point-of-sale kits and campaign materials distributed to stores and agencies on timed drops.

Time-Slotted, Not "Sometime Today"

Venues, mailing houses and stand builds work on booked slots, so we do too. Tell us the delivery window — a 20-minute venue dock slot, a stand-build access time, an embargo release hour — and we plan the collection backwards from it. The driver delivers to your named contact, gets a signature, and you have a timestamped POD for the client file. For embargoed work the consignment stays sealed in one dedicated vehicle from collection to release; there is no depot, no transfer and no second pair of hands.

A single box of proofs travels economically on a small van; palletised print runs and full exhibition kits go on a tail-lift Luton van.

Areas We Cover

We collect from print works and deliver to venues across the whole of the UK — see our locations page for the full coverage list. The exhibition and publishing corridors we serve most are London, Birmingham and Manchester, with the rest of the country covered same day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you deliver straight to an exhibition hall or stand?

Yes. We deliver to exhibition venues daily, including timed stand-build slots and hall dock bookings. Give us the hall, stand number and your build contact at booking, and the driver delivers to the stand where access rules allow, or to the organiser's goods-in point where they do not.

How do you handle embargoed publications?

The consignment travels sealed, in one dedicated vehicle, under one driver's custody from collection to delivery. We release it only at the agreed time to the agreed named person, and the signed POD records exactly when the handover happened.

Can you run a proof to a client and bring it back signed off?

Yes. Wait-and-return is a standard booking type: the driver delivers the proof, waits while it is reviewed, and returns it the same day so the press is not held longer than necessary.

Can you carry large-format graphics without damaging them?

Yes. Rolled media travels in tubes laid flat, rigid panels travel upright and strapped, and nothing else shares the vehicle. Because there is no co-loading, foamex corners and fabric graphics are not crushed under other freight.

What if the print run finishes late at night?

We collect 24/7, 365 days a year. Late finishes off the press are normal in print — book the job and the driver collects when the run comes off, driving through the night to make the morning deadline if that is what it takes.
